Polar Bolero
Named in tribute to kids’ book Polar Bolero: A Bedtime Dance by Debi Gliori, these Derry-based alt-folksters have had a dream start to their careers. Arriving on the scene post-lockdown, they’ve been steadily earning praise for their spine-tingling, heartfelt songs, as well as show-stealing performances at festivals like Stendhal and the Atlantic Sessions. The likes of hushed ballad ‘The Rain’ have made waves for the band, earning them radio play at home as well as the States, Germany and the Netherlands, and we’re forecasting lots more hits on the way.
