We take a look at some of the best Irish releases from last month.
1. Cormac O Caoimh - 'Silence and Sound'
Cork singer-songwriterCormac O Caoimh debuted his new delicately woven single 'Silence and Sound' at the beginning of this month, before releasing it officially on September 15.
2. Session Motts - 'Back In The Day'
Session Motts have been riding on a wave ever since the release of their hauntingly captivating singles 'Plundered Past' and 'Chip Shop Fights' earlier this year. Their newest track, 'Back in the Day', embraces common tropes for the band - eerie found footage, nostalgic subject matter, and a sound which pays homage to their 80s post punk influences.

3. The Fontaines - 'Hurricane Laughter'
The latest single from North Dubliners The Fontaines is a blistering, ferocious punk number that begs for multiple listens. It might be their finest single yet.
4. Laoise - 'Rich'
One of the most distinctive and exciting Irish songwriters releasing music, Galway native Laoise released her ethereal, synth-heavy new track 'Rich' late last month.

5. Ryan Vail/Talos - Voices
Derry electronic artist Ryan Vail provided the remix for Cork man Eoin French's latest single 'Voices'.
With Talos having released one of the best albums this year, Wild Alee, this was a fittingly glorious collaboration. The visuals, courtesy of Kevin McGloughlin and Brendan Canty, are similarly brilliant.
6. Dermot Kennedy - Moments Passed
Holding nothing back in terms of his passionate vocals, the latest single from Dermot Kennedy adds another string to his glittering musical bow. The 'Glory' singer's star continues to ascend.

7. NC Grey - Toxic Love

NC Grey's debut EP is an emotive, 4-track record that blends soul, jazz and R&B and draws from the influences of Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone. For its sheer emotional power, we picked 'Toxic Love' as the best track from the EP.

8. Sorcha Richardson - Waking Life
A song about being emotionally displaced, Sorcha Richardson's 'Waking Life' comes out at a time when the Brooklyn-based singer is taking a extended sabbatical from her long term home in New York to play a tour in her home country. Sorcha will also join Imelda May on an extensive tour this month.
9. All Tvvins - Anything

After a busy, successful summer on the festival circuit, All Tvvins fought off the autumn blues with this shimmering summer track.

10. Lilla Vergan - Hold On
A song which Lilla described as "written for a close friend who had fallen in love. She had such high hopes for that relationship but only ever ended up being let down." 'Hold On' (to your head) has a simple yet effective acoustic & piano backing, and a powerful delivery.
