Got a tricky giftee in your life? Don’t worry – we've got you covered this festive season, with the 2023 edition of Hot Press Gift Guide...
Nothing quite says occasion like the opera. A particularly special gift is a ticket to the Irish National Opera’s production of Salomé, an adaptation of the intoxicating Oscar Wilde play.
Strauss’s landmark opera was greeted with shock, horror, excitement, awe, respect, censorship, scandal, and condemnation, when it premiered in 1905. The music – sweet, sour, erotic, frenzied, often dizzily thrilling – has not been blunted by time. Salomé is still one of the wildest and most rewarding rides you can experience in an opera house.
It runs at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from March 12-16 – with tickets ranging from €13.50-€94.
"It takes you on this wild ride and never lets you go." - @fergussheil Attention opera lovers! 📢 Mark your calendars because tickets for #INOSalome are going on sale this Fri 30 June! Strauss' Salome is showing at @BGETheatre from 12-16 March 2024.
