Series will discuss landmark albums and feature interviews with major artists
Hot Press today launches a new podcast, Hot Press Classics, in which Contributing Editor Paul Nolan and other HP contributors, plus some very special guests, will do deep dives on a series of celebrated albums from throughout music history.
Covering an eclectic range of artists, the series will look at the making of each album, what makes them great and why they have such enduring legacies – along with the sometimes wild behind-the-scenes stories. In addition, Hot Press Classics will include interviews with many of the featured artists, as well as major names they've influenced.
In the mouthwatering first episode, Paul Nolan and Stuart Clark look at the Sex Pistols' seminal punk masterpiece, Nevermind The Bollocks. They discuss the album's creation, legacy and seismic cultural impact - as well as that awkward Bill Grundy appearance, plus other memorable moments from a pivotal era in music.
Rounding out a stellar opening edition, the episode also features exclusive interviews with the Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore.
