A happy go-lucky sound with lyrics that cut the soul
Bokito's newest track is a 1970s funk-infused, dance bop.
The group's video depicts them wearing their signature long locks and brightly-coloured pantsuits.
The song tells the story of a lover who done the singer a great injustice. Bokito's front-man quips "how dare you" in a quirky, yet assertive tone. Despite the lyrics of the song being drowned in sorrow, the sound of the track is light, camp and delightfully fun.
Making up the instrumentation with keyboards, base guitars and percussion, the group somehow manage to create a song that stretches beyond the normative instrumentation - it sounds utterly unique.
The group excitedly shared the new single on their Twitter page last week:
Excited to finally be sharing our first music video, directed by the insanely talented Will Norris & Craig Gallivan: https://t.co/lAH3hKAtgj
We wanted to give a taste of the energy we aim to bring to our live shows, and generally be showered in confetti. Hope you enjoy x pic.twitter.com/kjumbAVuFw

Being showered in confetti, the boys show off their "grooviest" dance moves - creating an atmosphere that feels delightfully free from all judgement, allowing themselves to get lost into the melody of the song.
