Fusing together elements of classic rocks and 90s grunge, MYTH’s new single ‘Maiden’ emulates their signature style of mixing genres and creating a musical explosion.
The dramatic soundscape is punctured by the lead singer soothing and captivating vocals. Singing about escaping a toxic relationship, the song reflects on the shame and regret on a love that went wrong. She begs "never send me down this road again" in a spine-tingling belt which leaves the listener in a state of adrenaline.
One of the most unique aspects of the song, rarely seen in mainstream today, is the mini breakdown halfway through the track. A soft percussion solo leaves the listener feeling in suspense before each other musical component kicks in once more, continuing the track’s rageful musical symphony.
MYTH are set to be continuing writing and working on new music, planning to release further singles this year.
This isn’t the first time Hot Press have awarded the group ‘Track of the Day’. Their previous singles ‘Savages’ also received the honour.

The Dublin group consider Fleetwood Mac and The Cranberries as their influences, writing music that brings rock back to its true fighting spirit.
