Hot Press Track of The Day: True Tides, "Automatic"

Self-described as “shamelessly catchy” “Automatic” by True Tides does not disappoint. An upbeat, funky tune which invites you to groove along. Yet there is also a complexity and a skill beyond the bop, so it just begs to be listened to again and again.

It is hard to believe that this band is made up of only three members with a simple set-up: guitar, bass, drums, electronics and vocals. The MacSweeny brothers (Cian, Connor and Eoghan) played their first gig in January and are currently working on their debut album. They'll be playing a gig in the Sound House on Eden Quay on September 15.
