Hot Press Track of the Day: J Colleran 'O + SOH'
The genre-defying producer has released his first track in well over a year.
Since he bid farewell to his MMOTHS moniker at the end of 2016, Jack Colleran seemed to have gone deep into hiding. But he is back producing music, and has recently shared his new song 'O + SOH', accompanied by a stunning video by Nic Hamilton. By J Colleran's own account his new tracks are connected to "non-existent or fictional places, where the music or the tracks themselves become or depict these unreal spaces". It is therefore no wonder that 'O + SOH' has something of an art installation with its slow, steady movement in sound and vision. It seems to depict life and death, light and shadow, earth and space, as well as the consistency and unity of opposites. J Colleran's new album is scheduled for summer 2018. Until then, find someplace quiet, pour yourself a hot drink, and take a look at 'O + SOH'.
