JC Stewart has today released his new single ‘Medicine’
A chorus empowered by backing vocalist accompanies this piano track. While ultimately still a pop-song, JC Stewart uses his soulful voice to convey the sense of emotion.
“If love is pain throw me in the water. When I’m going under save me again” is sang acapella by the vocalists as the song is brought to a close. It’s an emotive ending for a song that is consistently mellow throughout.
2018 has already been a busy for the Derry man. As well as a few festival appearances across the UK and Europe, he supported Snow Patrol for their headline gig at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
“‘Medicine' started as a couple of lines in a deleted note on my phone,” said Stewart. “I went over the chorus melody again and again for about four months before I figured it out.”

"It’s a super simple song with real lyrics which is why I think I connect to it so much.”
