Two of the country's finest emerging singers teamed up earlier this month for a track that's as earnest and emotional as it is beautifully written.
Dublin-based folk artist Ailbhe Reddy - whose goosebump-inducing 2017 EP Attached To Memory cemented her place as one of Ireland's most unique voices - seamlessly complements the alt-folk stylings of Maria Kelly, who recently impressed alongside the likes of Paul Noonan, Loah and other with the National Concert Hall's Imagining Ireland initiative.
Describing 'Threads' as a song they "wrote about someone having one foot out the door of a relationship and how heartbreaking that can be to experience", this might be the start of an exciting new partnership, or it could equally be a one of duet.
Either way, we're moved.
