'Wasted.Patient.Thinking' is the latest release from 18-year old, Derry-based multi-instrumentalist Roisin Donald (Roe), who recently turned heads on an international scale at Eurosonic Festival in Groningen.
Musically, The Maiden City appears to be blazing a trail for itself like nobody's business right now, and Roe is one of the most exciting talents making a name for herself at the moment.
'Wasted.Patient.Thinking' throws big, bold synth and throttling hooks behind a voice that manages to seamlessly bridge the gap between vulnerable and empowered.
Explaining what’s behind the song, Roe explains: “Wasted.Patient.Thinking. is about looking out for number one. There’s no point in staying in any kind of relationship that makes you feel down all the time just to keep someone else happy. People can be the worst and you need to take care of yourself before anyone else, otherwise it’s just a whole mess that you don’t deserve to be involved in.”
