Nellis - who is also the frontman of Belfast indie-pop band Seven Summits - is set to release There Are ENough Songs In The World, the follow-up to his well-received 2015 debut solo LP, Ready For You Now, at the MAC in Belfast on November 11. Having already released six singles from the album – including 'Born From Rainy Weather', the exquisite ‘Casual Discrimination’ and ‘Crossed Out’ – Nellis has premiered new track ‘Friend of a Friend’ with Hot Press today.

Featuring Herb Magee (Lafaro/Arvo Party) on bass and synth, Peter J McAuley (Rams Pocket Radio) on drums and Phil d'Alton of Master & Dog on synth, the track – a full-blooded, full-band effort – is a masterfully earworming three-minute burst of indie rock that conjures one of Nellis’ main influences, Californian indie-rockers Grandaddy, amongst others. With previous singles from the album capturing his attention to detail in the realms of composition, conviction and candour, ‘Friend of a Friend’ is an unabashed anthem that cuts loose.
