Dublin's best named trio give an exclusive listen of their new single 'Back in the Day', which will be released on September 15.
One of the most exciting Irish bands to come out of 2017, Session Motts follow up their previous singles 'Chip Shop Fights' and 'Plundered Past' with another track that casts its eye back over the nostalgic, blurry, and occasionally sinister shades of the past.
With its mesmerising blend of synth and guitar hooks - as well as lead singer Keeley Moss' hypnotic vocals - 'Back in the Day' embraces its nostalgic subject matter and showcases how the band's thoughtful compositions pay homage to their post-punk, shoegazing influences.
The music video features eerie found footage of people from another time playing on the beach, with an unnamed male character trying in vain to capture the corporeality of the past.
