Influenced primarily by the American indie scene of the early 2000s and British guitar bands of the 80s, The Burma’s jangly guitars and bouncy basslines make for refreshingly melodic songs.

The band have been on the Hot Press radar for some time, gaining attention for their debut single 'Love Fades', as well as being credited for their "earwig melodies and shimmering guitar lines."

Their ascendancy continues with new single 'Sucker For Stars', which features Smiths-styled guitar riffs, a hugely catchy chorus, and a vocal exhibition from lead singer Cian Doherty. Listen to it here:
