The Wood Burning Savages are the latest exciting punk-rock product from the Walled City. They're a band who proudly wear the rebel spirit of their hometown on their sleeves.

With a fierce riot of relentless guitars and pounding drums, new single 'Living Hell' is the band's most intense to date.

The Wood Burning Savages kicked off 2017 with a string of shows supporting fast rising rock acts The Amazons and VANT, alongside a hometown show with cult Irish guitar heroes And So I Watch You From Afar. They've also just recently wrapped up supporting Fangclub on their Irish album tour.

The video for 'Living Hell' was directed by Dublin filmmaker Niall Conroy, who took inspiration for the kaleidoscopic look of the video from the abstract experimental photography of Alvin Langdon Coburn. The video was shot in an old manor just outside Maynooth and features Dublin actress Niamh Sweeney playing the part of the office worker who looses control due to the intense pressure of her life and job.

Speaking about the new single, frontman Paul Connolly said, "Living Hell is about our hometown of Derry. It's a song which compounds recurring stories of young people across Ireland, whose lack of opportunity thanks to substandard education, dearth of steady employment and out of control university living costs, has left them stranded on the estates in which they grew up."

The band are gearing up to support Death From Above at the Olympia Theatre in March, 2018.
