The artist Paul Hourican has returned under the moniker Hourricane, with his live debut taking place in Smock Alley Theatre.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Hourican has taken on the moniker Hourricane, and returns for a one-night-only show in the Boys' School at Smock Alley Theatre tonight.
Audiences are in for a treat with the debut of Paul's new moniker, bringing a lot of new material to the stage.
Of his new stage persona, Hourican said: "I see it as a stage name with the possibility of morphing into a band with a fluid lineup overtime."
Hourican last performed live around Christmas 2015 for a special one-off event, where all money raised from both ticket sales and CD sales were donated to Focus Ireland.
Previous to the adaption of his new moniker, Hourican boasted a large and diverse original catalogue. Following a deal with Warner Music and hit singles ‘One Step Forward’ and ‘All I Ever Wanted’, Hourican was signed to NYC’s major publishing company Round Hill Music where the musician was based for many years. The singer has previously shared the stage with Damien Rice, Liam O’Maonlai, Aslan and many others.
