Tickets for the April 15th fundraiser will go on sale this Friday, 17th march from £45. All proceeds will go towards War Child and the Turkey Mozaik Foundation’s response to the Turkey and Syria earthquakes.
International songwriting sensations, Hozier and Dermot Kennedy will play at the Royal Albert Hall in London next month to raise funds for those affected by the Syria-Turkey earthquake that occurred at the beginning of this year.
The Irish musicians will be joined by a plethora of other music stars that include Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Sons, Mercury nominee Anna Calvi, Nilüfer Yanya and platinum-selling star, James Bay.
The historic venue will play host to the fundraiser on April 15th, with all proceeds from the show going directly to non-governmental organisation War Child, and the Turkey Mozaik Foundation.
The Clash have reported that some of the famous faces that will be present among the crowd in April will include Olivia Colman, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Omid Djalili. An exclusive live performance from the Solidarity Ensemble, formed of Turkish, Kurdish and Alevi musicians from Turkey and Syria is set to take place in the night.
To date, the earthquake has claimed the lives of around 54,000 people and displaced a further 2.4 million.
