The Co. Wicklow singer-songwriter's new EP will feature a collaboration with Allison Russell
Just over seven months after the release of his chart-topping album Unreal Unearth, Hozier has announced a new EP, Unheard – out next Friday, March 22.
Sharing the news on social media alongside a video of a sketchbook, the Irish star revealed that the EP will contain four unreleased songs, originally recorded during the sessions for Unreal Unearth, including 'Too Sweet’, 'Empire Now', 'Fare Well', and 'Wildflower and Barley’ featuring Allison Russell.
"These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence and the outward ‘ascent’ respectively but could not for different reasons," he wrote online. "I’m very glad I’ll get to share them with you."
Allison Russell previously spoke about touring and working with Hozier in a 2023 interview with Hot Press – describing him as "a very good ambassador for Ireland."
“He has one of the nicest audiences I’ve ever experienced," she said. "There are tonnes of women and tonnes of queer folks, which being both of those things makes me feel very at home and welcome. The audience comes knowing, ‘Oh, these are people Andrew’s picked because he likes their songs.’ They trust his curatorship and are really prepared to give you a chance.

“It’s testament to Andrew and his whole camp that they’ve created such a sense of community and family with everything they do.”
The Unheard EP is available to pre-save now, ahead of its release on Friday, March 22.
