Posting a minute-long clip of the song set to photos he had taken during the writing process, Hozier said that it “Seemed a shame not to let folks hear this in July.”
He has since uploaded previews on TikTok of the song ‘Nobody’s Soldier’, with footage from a live performance at Lollapalooza.

The new EP, Unaired, follows the release of Unheard in March, a collection of four songs that hadn’t made it onto his 2023 album, Unreal Unearth.
The first track off Unheard, 'Too Sweet', topped the charts in Australia, Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The song was his first No. 1 hit in the US, staying at that position for 1 week, as well as amassing over 781 million streams on Spotify.
