Today's news marks the Bray artist's second Billboard Hot 100 hit.
Hozier's single 'Too Sweet' has debuted at no. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The ranking is the Wicklow artist second foray into the Billboard Hot 100 top 10, with his breakout single 'Take Me to Church' reaching number 2.
'Too Sweet' has reached the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Rock and Alternative songs.
Elsewhere the single has performed highly in charts, reaching No.7 on the Irish Singles Chart and No.8 on the UK charts.
The single was released as part of Hozier's Unheard EP which came out last Friday March 22.

Unheard brings together four tracks which didn't make the cut for his most recent release Unreal, Unearth.
Just over seven months after the release of his chart-topping album Unreal Unearth, 'Too Sweet' has performed better on the Billboard Hot 100 than any single off the artists third studio album.
Unheard includes four songs; 'Too Sweet’, 'Empire Now', 'Fare Well', and 'Wildflower and Barley’ featuring Allison Russell.
Speaking on his latest EP, Hozier said: "These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence and the outward ‘ascent’ respectively but could not for different reasons," he wrote online.
"I’m very glad I’ll get to share them with you."
