Following the news last week that he shot straight to No. 1 on the Irish Albums Charts, Hozier has now gained a milestone achievement, going to the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts in America.

Hozier's new LP, released via Rubyworks/Columbia on March 1, earned 89,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 7, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 75,000 were in actual album sales: a hugely impressive number in the current climate of lower album purchase levels.

Wasteland, Baby! follows on from Hozier's 2018 EP Nina Cried Power, and his phenomenal self-titled debut album, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2014.

Following a select series of shows in Australia and New Zealand, Hozier will return to the US in May for additional tour dates and festival performances at Hangout Fest, Boston Calling, LaureLive Music Festival and BonnarooMusic & Arts Festival – in addition to which he undertakes a 5-night New York residency at Hammerstein Ballroom in November 2019 with 3 of those shows already sold out.

Hozier plays an extensive UK & European Tour later this year including 5 shows at the London Palladium. He does outdoor shows in Ireland at Independent Park, Cork on 25th June 2019 and Belsonic Festival, Belfast on 27th June 2019 (see full tour dates below).
