Tickets for Hozier's Malahide Castle show sold out instantly when they went on sale.
Hozier has taken to Twitter today to warn fans of scam accounts selling tickets at inflated prices.
In a tweet, Hozier stated, “Hearing a lot from fans about being scammed for tickets. PLEASE be vigilant of accounts claiming to have tickets and asking for DMs”
"Also re Scalpers, I would rather play to an empty room than have those prices paid. Please do not buy inflated tickets - I'll be back again soon.”

Commenting on his post, fans told of their experiences with attempting to acquire tickets for his upcoming dates.
I got in the queue the moment it opened and the entire venue sold out to scalpers in under five minutes. There has to be a better way to get tickets in fans hands. I wish there had been a verified fan pre sale or something to give fans a better shot at getting actual tickets

Excellent to see you speak out but the problem is @Ticketmaster is not stopping the scalpers. They could but they don't @justcallkinder @Mx_Defying

Fans flooded to the post to thank the Irish singer for his stance in the ticket scalpers:
I really appreciate you saying this, thank you for standing up for us, Andrew! Although I already bought two tickets (they were selling only if you bought both), although I needed only one, for an obscene price. 😅 It’ll be worth it though. 🧡

Since then, the 33-year-old artist followed up his original post urging fans not to purchase tickets at the “obscene” prices they are being re-sold for, posting, “If fans collectively decide not to buy resale tickets at those obscene prices they'll lose their value. I know it sucks but there'll most likely be shows next year.”
“ps Ireland managed to pass legislation on resale tix after a push! Contact your local reps and see where they stand”
