The singer-songwriter landed his first ever Irish no. 1 single last week.
Following his career milestone from last week, landing his first ever Irish no.1 with his latest single ‘Too Sweet’, Bray singer-songwriter Hozier holds onto his spot in the Irish Singles Chart.
‘Too Sweet’ surpasses his debut single ‘Take Me To Church’, which hit no. 2 in Irish Charts in 2014.
The single is part of Hozier’s latest EP Unheard, containing four unreleased songs from his latest album Unreal Unearth, including ‘Empire Now’, ‘Fare Well’, and ‘Wildflower and Barley’, in collaboration with Canadian Grammy Award winner artist Allison Russell.
Two weeks ago, the single also reached Hozier's first ever Irish no. 1 Spotify spot, as well as the no. 1 on the Spotify Top 50 Charts in the United States, UK, Canada and New Zealand, in addition to the Global Spotify Top 50 number 5 position.

In the U.K., it reached No.4 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK official single chart, as well as hitting the top spot of Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart.
On top of his recent success, he also released a brand new addtion to Wasteland Baby! (Special Edition) titled ‘Why Would You Be Loved.’ a previously unheard outtake from the original album, featured on Hot Press's New Irish songs to hear this week.
Hozier also swept the No.1 slot on the Hot Press Readers’ Poll, and will play a headline show in Dublin’s Marlay Park on 5th July.
