The Bray singer-songwriter and the chart-topping country-pop star join forces on the emotional track.
Following the release of her acclaimed second album, GIRL, Maren Morris has enlisted Hozier for a fresh take on her single 'The Bones'.
“When I first heard ‘Like Real People Do’ I think I could actually hear my heart breaking and then immediately felt songwriter envy that I didn’t write it first," Morris said in a statement. "Hozier’s soul and vulnerability is so arresting and fit so well with the foundational theme of my song 'The Bones'. I feel so grateful to have him on it.”
“Something of love’s enduring nature really comes through on ‘The Bones'," Hozier revealed. "It’s a gorgeous song. I was delighted to be asked to sing with the Maren Morris on this track—she is such a wonderful artist.”

Hozier is currently on tour in support of his chart-topping sophomore effort, Wasteland, Baby!, and is set to play Dublin's 3Arena later this year. This week he also launched his new podcast series, Cry Power, created in collaboration with Global Citizen. The first episode saw the Bray singer-songwriter exploring gender equality with Annie Lennox.
In addition to her own solo success, Maren Morris recently joined forces with Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby to form the country supergroup The Highwomen. Read Hot Press's Jackie Hayden review of their self-titled debut album here.
