The man currently gracing the Hot Press cover is up for no fewer than five gongs!
Having starred in the US trade bible's Coachella special, Hozier joins 5 Seconds Of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor in slugging it out for Top New Artist at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
There could be more than one acceptance speech with 'Take Me To Church' in the running for Top Rock Song alongside Bastille's 'Pompeii', Coldplay's 'A Sky Full Of Stars', Fall Out Boy's 'Centuries' and Paramore's 'Ain't It Fun', and his self-titled debut mixing it with AC/DC's Rock Or Bust, The Black Keys' Turn Blue, Coldplay's Ghost Stories and Lorde's Pure Heroine for Top Rock Album.
Bastille, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy and Lorde are his competition again for Top Rock Artist and 'Take Me To Church' could also bag him Top Streaming Song (Audio).
Elsewhere, there are also multiple nominations for the likes of Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, One Direction, Avicii, Iggy Azalea and Ed Sheeran.
The silverware will be doled out on May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
