American death metal band I Am Morbid have announced a headline show at Dublin's The Academy, for Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
The band, formed in late 2016 by former Morbid Angel members David Vincent, Pete Sandoval, Bill Hudson, and Richie Brown, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Domination, Morbid Angel’s fourth studio album, by performing it in full alongside other classics.
I am Morbid was founded after Vincent and Yeung parted ways with Morbid Angel in June 2015, alongside guitarist Thor "Destructhor" Myhren.
Named after a track from Morbid Angel's album Illud Divinum Insanus, the group was announced in December 2016 and originally featured guitarists Bill Hudson and Ira Black. They stated that their focus would be to play music from early albums, specifically Altars of Madness, Blessed Are the Sick, Covenant and Domination.

They made their live debut in Russia in May 2017, stepping in for Morbid Angel at the Alcatraz Metal Festival after they cancelled their European dates.
The line-up has seen a few changes, with Sandoval re-joining Vincent in 2021, replacing Yeung. Kelly McLauchlin also briefly joined before being succeeded by Richie Brown in 2022.
Tickets from €35.65 (including booking fee, subject to Ticketmaster service charges) go on sale Thursday, March 13 at 10 a.m.
