After his single 'I Got Fire' was featured in a Hyundai Commercial for the FIFA World Cup, Faraway Martin now drops the song's electrifying music video, filmed in Qatar.
Irish singer-songwriter Faraway Martin has released a new music video for the Hot Press Track of the Day veteran single 'I Got Fire.'
When he first released the hit, recorded at DogFox Studio in Nashville and produced by Dave Skelton in Galway, he said that of all of his songs, 'I Got Fire' was one of his favourites.
"It's about standing up for yourself. We all have a little fire in us. The old proverb, 'They tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds' was a huge inspiration behind this song. It's a high energy song that's fun to play live!"
Receiving support from iRadio, FM104, Dublin City FM and breaking QBS Radio's Top 40, the electro-pop-rock song has been a big, and international, hit. QBS is the largest station in Qatar, making Faraway Martin the only unsigned act in the Top 40.
The song was featured in the FIFA World Cup Ad for Hyundai. The Irishman then headlined the opening night of the FIFA Fan Festival, playing to over 40 thousand people.

Calvin Harris, Sean Paul, Paul van Dyk and Irish throwback Boyzlife also performed during the World Cup.
No stranger to the country, it's not the first time Mayo-native has played for a major event there. He's played for Qatar's Formula 1 Grand Prix and The Qatar MotoGP.
Currently based in Qatar, it made sense he would film 'I Got Fire's' music video, produced by Bylo Production, across multiple locations there. The song already has a get-up-and-dance vibe, but it's been bolstered with the unparalleled energy featured in the video as Faraway Martin and his band play on top of a skyscraper's helicopter pad.
A courtesy of using drone footage, the video highlights not only an aerial view of the futuristic Doha skyline, but also stunning shots of Qatar's deserts filled with fire dancers.
“I’ve dreamt about shooting a music video on the helipad of a skyscraper since I first came to Doha in 2015," Faraway Martin excitedly says.

"It’s got an unbelievable skyline and I’ve said to so many people that one day we’d make a video up there. Thankfully this year, that dream came through. The video has a U2 vibe to it which I love.”
Back in Ireland last year, the Hot Press 'Hot for 2022' artist performed for Sea Sessions, Claremorris Folk Festival, and a string of additional local festivals. At Electric Picnic, he opened for Toploader, Aslan, Mick Flannery, Mundy, The Blizzards, and Hermitage Green.
No matter where he calls home, Faraway Martin is definitely an artist beloved across borders.
