Iain Archer has been unveiled as one of the star participants in the Guitarist And The Mac event that’s taking place in Dublin’s Temple Bar Music Centre on February 27.
Joining him are a team of music technology experts from Apple who’ll be discussing their suite of music-making tools.

As for the boy Archer, the sometime Snow Patrol collaborator is close to completing the follow-up to his fab Flood The Tanks album.
One of the classics-in-the-making, ‘Everything I’ve Got’, features Joel and Steve from Athlete on backing-vocals.
“It dates back to the Flood The Tanks sessions, and almost all the instrumentation I put down then has been preserved,” Archer reveals. “The lads swung by this afternoon to add their parts and sounded amazing.”
Also in the can are ‘Luke’s Point’, ‘Life Boat’, ‘Minus Ten’, ‘Truth Drug’, ‘When It Kicks In’ and ‘Long Jump’.
Workaholic that he is, the Belfast tunesmith has also joined Gary Lightbody in contributing to the new Freelance Hellraiser album.
