'Sodium' marks the first new original release from IDLES since third LP 'Ultra Mono' arrived last September.
IDLES have dropped a moody new track from Dark Nights: Death Metal soundtrack, released by DC Comics as a tie in for the comic book series of the same name.
The new song marks the British rock band’s first new original material since the release of their critically acclaimed third album Ultra Mono last September.
The Dark Nights: Death Metal soundtrack was released today by DC Comics and Loma Vista featuring songs from artists such as IDLES, Soccer Mommy, and the late Chester Bennington‘s band Grey Daze.
Manchester Orchestra also features on the soundtrack with their grungy new song “Never Ending," as well as “Broken Dreams, Inc” by Rise Against (which received a dark industrial remix by HEALTH), “Forged By Neron” by Mastodon, “Diana” by Chelsea Wolfe, “Meet Me In The Fire” by Maria Brink (featuring Black Veil Brides Andy Biersack), and “Bad Luck” by Denzel Curry.
All contributing artists took a hands-on approach with Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack, with some collaborating together for the first time on the soundtrack inspired by the text that depicts a hellish Earth twisted beyond recognition, wherein the Justice League is at the mercy of the Dark Multiverse and a diabolical Batman.
