The original date has sold out due to popular demand.
Imelda May fans will be happy with the news that she will play and extra date in Limerick this October.
Popular demand has seen her October 24 gig at the University Concert Hall sold out, so she'll return to the venue on the 25th.
Imelda has fought back to prominence recently following personal and professional upheaval.
Her most recent album Life. Love. Flesh. Blood entered the Irish charts at number two and went on to spend ten weeks in the top ten.
Last month, she dropped a live video for the story-in-song 'When It's My Time':

“I love those old story songs where you’re taken on a journey from beginning to end,” says Imelda about the track. “Songs you’re riveted with. Like when you’re in the car and you sit in the driveway, because you can’t turn the radio off, you have to listen to the end of the story. I thought, ‘I’d like to write one of them’. The lyrics are about my family, and my daughter, and myself and my life growing up in Dublin. We didn’t have much money but my parents are fabulous, creative and open-minded people. They gave me art and literature and encouraged me to do whatever was in my heart and I want to do that with my daughter.”
Tickets for Ielda's extra date go on saleon August 4 at 9 a.m from Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
