The single features James Shannon and Róisín Seoighe.
Irish language band IMLÉ have released a music video for their single ‘SLÁINTE’.
Originally released last week, the track marks IMLÉ’s first collaboration with rapper James Shannon and a new addition to their catalogue featuring Róisín Seoighe.
‘SLÁINTE’ also acts as the title track of the band’s upcoming EP, set for release next autumn.
The music video, directed by Ciarán McGrath, depicts an aesthetic reminiscent of the late 90s and early noughties, taking inspiration from films such as The Truman Show and Punch Drunk Love.

Produced by Karl Odlum, the track commentates on going through life in the modern age and seeking something more.
The lyrics to the song were originally written for a remix of the groups song ‘Fáilte Isteach’, however Cian Mac Cárthaigh, one of the group's guitarists and founder, saw potential in the track, and alongside James Shannon began building what would become ‘SLÁINTE’.
IMLÉ will be featured in Hot Press’s June issue with an On Our Radar Q&A.
