For Folk's Sake - An Evening of Music for Homelessness will take place Thursday 14th December.
Hosted upstairs in the cosy confines of Anseo, the event will feature the best and brightest that Irish music has to offer with Paddy Hanna, Dowry, Éna Brennan, Fontaines D.C. Maija Sofia, Joey Gavin, Christofer Wilson, Ellie O'Neill and Brian Barron Music.
While the evening is free, donations are strongly encouraged as all money raised will be going to the Peter McVerry Trust.
Speaking with Hot Press, organiser Joey Gavin explained how this event has been a long time coming,
"I wanted put on something like this for years, a big long gig, people coming in from the cold fussing about in winter coats with red noses and big smiles, this year we finally got it together. It's an attempt to hold up the values of this season and to locate what seems like a lost child in a supermarket on Black Friday. We're donating to Peter McVerry trust and I hope that our efforts will aid in a small way, the devastating homelessness crisis in Ireland. These musicians are my friends and I have a lot of admiration for what they do. There was no convincing needed, we all feel the burden of others and I'm super grateful that this has come together so well."
