Irish guitarist Chris Guilfoyle will partake in this year's cross-cultural jazz experiment.
Improvised Music Company will host Criss Cross Europe, an improvised, collaborative jazz event, at Dublin's Freemasons' Hall on Thursday, December 9.
In this pan-European experiment, six artists from different European countries will come together as a new supergroup. Following their autumn residency in Tallinn, Estonia, the musicians will perform their one-night-only event at Dublin's Freemasons' Hall.
The event will be led by Jim Black, a Berlin-based American drummer. He has been lauded as one of the most influential musicians in contemporary jazz, and he will mentor the experiment's six musicians.
