If it wasn’t for that unmistakable crop of ginger hair, I’d refuse to believe that the Tony Wright of acoustic outfit VerseChorusVerse is the same Tony Wright who plays guitar with instrumental wunderkind And So I Watch You From Afar. Sweet, delicate and tuneful, VerseChorusVerse is a particularly raw take on the usual singer-songwriter shtick, and that’s probably the reason why it appeals so much. Shot by Bandwidth Films, this clip sees Tony perform as part of the Belfast-based Glory Days project, which rejects the idea of a headliner, instead putting three acts on stage at once. There’s also a bevy of infant VerseChorusVerse tracks streaming at [link]soundcloud.com/vcvtony[/link], including a dreamy number by the name of ‘Nothing Is Easy’ that we’re especially partial to. Ah, he’s a big softie, really.
