Texas indie stars will hop across the pond next year to show Dublin their charming, wild spirit.
Mark your calendars for March 8 because a landslide of catchy tunes are coming to Dublin. The Austin-based band Wild Child came out with new music last year, boasting powerful pop and grassroot vibes in their third full album Fools.
Members Kelsey (violin and vocals) and Alexander (ukulele and vocals) comprise the core of the seven-piece band. Although the two co-wrote most all of the songs on the latest record, the title track is the child of the whole band. Throughout the writing process for Fools, Kelsey experienced relationship troubles with a long-term boyfriend and also saw the divorce of her parents. She comments, " It was the first time that I'd ever had writer’s block. Within a week, all of the lyrics just came out.” The album most certainly details the sign of the times.
Soothing ukulele and harmonic vocals are evident on their three albums, only leading one to the assumption that their live shows will encourage dancing and smiles.
