"When you hear her songs, you really know that it comes from her heart," Inhaler perform a surprise cover on Radio 1.
The four-piece indie-rock powerhouse, Inhaler, covered Billie Eilish's 'Your Power' during a Radio 1 live session last night (July 14).
Before the show, the band teased that they would be playing "a little something extra" during their set. The band put their own spin on Eilish's hit – with Hewson's falsetto vocals delivering a powerful performance against a backdrop of driving electric guitar melodies.
The Dublin band delivered their impressive set at Maida Vale Studios in London, in support of their debut album It Won't Always Be Like This, which arrived last Friday (July 9).
Speaking to the show's host, Annie Mac, Hewson joked that it took "months of training" to nail the falsetto needed for the song. "I think we did a good job, and hopefully she likes it and we didn't butcher her song."
“We wanted to do something that was popular. I think [Eilish] is a really good inspiration for people who wanna get into the pop world,” Hewson explained. “When you hear her songs, you really know that it comes from her heart. And I think the song has a great message.”
