The PoguestrA formed at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns to bring comfort to the community of Pogues fans worldwide.
The brainchild of Italian musician Daniele Rubertelli, The PoguestrA are an international collective of 56 musicians and long-time Pogues fans.
The PoguestrA have now come together alongside special guests Jon Boden (former lead singer of British band Bellowhead), Irish singer-songwriter Lou McMahon, Tren van Enckevort and the Include Choir to cover 'Fairytale of New York', releasing a music video featuring the posse of talent for Christmas.
Surrey's The Include Choir is a group which includes people with speaking and understanding difficulties.
The PoguestA have previously reinterpreted eight songs from The Pogues repertoire.
A total of 71 musicians from around the world took part in the clip with each band member filming themselves individually from their homes.
The audio and video editing was done by Tim van den Hombergh in The Netherlands

The values of diversity and inclusion are core elements of The PoguestrA, with the epic cover and accompanying video showcasing the passion of the organisation.
The video itself also contains a dedication to Frits Sieswerda, a former member of The PoguestrA who passed away in late November.
