Their newest single comes with the announcement of a soon to come EP.
Back in January, Interpol dropped their first new music since 2018's Marauder, with the single 'Fine Mess'. Announced today, their newest EP, also called A Fine Mess, is set for a May 17 release. The 5 track EP was recorded in Upstate New York with prolific producer Dave Fridmann, who has worked with a long list of influential artists including The Flaming Lips, Weezer and Tame Impala. The EP comes as a continuation of Interpol's work with with Fridmann, who produced their previous LP Marauder.
Released today, the second single from the EP, called 'The Weekend', is an expansive and energetic party anthem. Launching from these new releases into a busy summer season, Interpol will be embarking on a world tour, as well as playing festival dates at Glastonbury, Osheaga and more.
