Raven is an act to get acquainted with. His first single is an excellent display of what's to come.
Emerging London producer and multi-instrumentalist Raven has just announced his new EP Jeté is set for release on October 25th via PRAH Recordings. The first single from the record 'U Should Have Told Me' is streaming online now. It's a trance-inducing track that fuses elements of classical and techno into an elegant statement.
Speaking on the track, Raven said, 'This track came together pretty quickly. It was a one-take improvisation on the Wurlitzer piano along to a beat that I’d just made. That’s why the form is quite loose and through-composed. It was finished when I pulled out an old folk record of my dad’s which happened to have this intriguing accapella on which I've chopped up. This track for me is the highest emotional point on the EP.'

Combining his interest in people and dance as an art form, Raven came to create Jeté. Having recently worked with talented choreographers and dancers, Raven looks to explore the creative freedom, emotion and human connection within dance on his upcoming record; the EP title Jeté literally translates as the French for "jump" and the cover art was a photograph taken by Raven's father of dancers back in the 80s
