Several artists from the Hot Press Lockdown Y&E Series – including Tomike, Emma Langford, and FYA FOX – will be featured as part of Ireland Music Week 2021.
The 50 artists that will perform for Ireland Music Week 2021 have been announced. Among them are Aonair, Christian Cohle, and Emma Langford.
Presented by First Music Contact, Ireland Music Week is a showcase and music industry conference that will take place October 5-8. It is supported by The Arts Council, Culture Ireland and CD Baby. Over 500 artists applied for the showcase, and 50 were chosen by industry professionals to be recognized as part of Ireland's best emerging talent.
"Selection for IMW is on most developing artists' 'to do' list and brings with it opportunities to develop into international markets and networks," said Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact. "At FMC the artist is central to everything we do, we look forward to supporting the class of 2021 in as many ways as we can and give them the same international opportunities as artists have had before the pandemic."
Though the event is online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the various acts will be filmed by Tiny Ark in rooms at the Grand Social in Dublin. Artists will each have a 15-minute set and be able to interact with fans virtually.
A number of the artists that will be featured at IMW 2021 have been a part of the Hot Press Lockdown Y&E Series, which is available to watch on the Hot Press instagram (@hotpressmagazine).
