Irish Exclusive: Power of Dreams share first new single with original line-up since 2010

Dublin alt-rock band Power of Dreams have announced a new single 'Somebody Somewhere', out November 6, with exclusive early listening available.

The self-produced track marks their first new song with their original lineup since 2010.

"We wanted to mark our return with all 4 original members with a bang, a song that carried the essence of who we are and always have been whilst sounding fresh and exhilarated by this new chapter in the band's history," said lead vocalist Craig Walker.

"We have been making music together on/off for almost 40 years now which carries with it a tremendous amount of love and history, the song somehow encapsulates all of this into 3 mins."

Power of Dreams will also embark on an Irish and UK tour in November, with a show at Mike The Pies in Kerry on November 5 and Dublin's Opium on November 6.

Their set at Forest Fest in July marked the band's first Irish performance with its original lineup since 2010.

"The reception to the show was incredible - it was an honour to have Morty McArthy from the Sultans of Ping tell us that the band still had so much to offer," said Walker. "This new single was definitely written with the fans in mind."

Power of Dreams will return to their London studio in November to resume work on what will be their sixth studio album, due for release in 2027.

Formed by brothers Craig and Keith Walker, along with childhood friends Mick Lennox and Ian Olney, the group released their debut album Immigrants, Emigrants and Me in 1990, which launched them onto a 30-country world tour.

The Walkers and Olney reunited in 2021 to release Ausländer, but this will be the first album and tour with all four members.

Tickets for their Kerry show are available here, and Dublin here.
