"This is a song about sex".
Kildare duo Tebi Rex announced the upcoming release of brand new single 'I Got My Whole' yesterday, a follow-up to their May 2020 track 'White Boy of the Month'.
Writing to their social media followers, Matt O’Baoill and Max Zanga acknowledged the Black Lives Matter protests and current turbulent societal climate:
"This is a tough time to release new music. This does not mean we should take our attention away from what is currently happening. Please keep progressing and pushing black voices forward. Make it your priority. Thank you."
The Maynooth boys have been building up a back catalogue of Irish music under the umbrella of the Word Up Collective over the last couple of years, with influences derived from trap, R&B and DIY pop.
