Helmed by childhood friends Adam Cunningham and Adrian Rabbitte, the indie-rock outfit revel in a sound that is simultaneously fresh and nostalgic – taking inspiration from the legendary likes of Queen, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits and The Beatles.
Following the release of their acclaimed 2019 debut album, TIME, indie band First Day Lions have returned with their first single of the new year, titled 'GO'.
The feel-good track utilises a retro sound driven by the easygoing twang of guitars and clear vocals.
First Day Lions are also offering their followers the chance to have their name in the 'GO' music video and more behind-the-scenes perks through contributing €2 to their Patreon page.
The Moate duo previously released their 2020 singles 'Summer Child' and 'She Might Even Smile' - which was made a Hot Press Track of the Day in April.
'Summer Child' was inspired by Greta Thunberg, and brought together the infectious energy of summer and commentary on our changing world.
The band's sunny, upbeat vibe made its way perfectly into their debut album, TIME.

"First Day Lions make no attempt to disguise their influences, putting them on fully display on their debut record," Hot Press's Selina Juengling wrote in her review of TIME back in November.
"Nevertheless, they've managed to fuse these different styles and put their own unique spin on them. TIME is highly entertaining from start to finish."
