Along with this release, the group have announced a venture to the UK and the US with Spring 2023 tours.
The Irish indie band, modernlove., have released a dancey new alt-pop track, titled 'Until My Heart Stops Beating'.
The electronic pulse seeping from this new release is extremely reminiscent of an earlier The 1975 sound, similar to the sound of Dublin-based band milk. Expertly crafted lyrics and contagious, delicate vocals front the drop, making for an excellent listening experience.
The genius musicality of this band is evident throughout their work, but 'Until My Heart Stops Beating' shows a shift towards a more "together" and maturing sound for the band. This oomphed up electronic lends them to a certain genre, one seemingly emerging more and more from Ireland and the UK in recent times. modernlove.'s progression is evident, showing this is only the beginning for this constantly growing band.
Formed in 2016, the four piece have spent much of their existence creating an outlet for themselves as well as a vibrant community for young music obsessives in their hometown of Drogheda. Now, their music is being embraced on a much larger scale, with their latest single releasing as they're moving through a tour of the UK and Ireland.

Accompanied by a paired back yet engaging music video, 'Until My Heart Stops Beating' follows a slew of releases from this ever-engaged band, including the release of their sophomore EP, Oh My Mind, earlier this year.
Speaking about the new track, modernlove. commented: "'Until My Heart Stops Beating’ is a song about losing feelings. It chronicles the moments of tension leading up to a breakup. The lyrical narrative of the song explores arrhythmia and cardiac arrest as metaphors for the end of a relationship and invokes that sudden wrenching feeling when something goes terribly wrong.
"The song is stark, realistic and unromantic. It’s clear that the relationship is beyond hope and beyond saving. The lyricism and sonic composition of the tune are extremely minimalist, almost as if there’s nothing left to say," the band added.
"In keeping with this sober, dejected, minimalist vibe, the song takes its sonic inspiration and sensibilities such as a simple two chord structure and monotone droning chorus vocals from early post-punk artists such as The Cure and Joy Division.”
Along with their new single, the band have recently announced they will be returning to the UK in April of 2023 after their Autumn tour sold out in almost every UK venue. They've also announced fantastic news for US fans, with a tour starting in America in March, including their appearance at the SWSX festival in Austin, Texas.
