New collective Tramyard was put together by veteran pianist, musical director and producer Steve Milne.
Ireland's top session musicians have come together as a group to launch their debut single 'People Puttin' People Down' - a tribute to the late John Prine.
The band was formed in the summer of 2020, and was initially a personal recording endeavour which wasn't intended for release. However, Tramyard's love for John Prine and the impact of his musical legacy forced the outfit to change their minds in regards to sharing their rendition of the classic track.
'People Puttin' People Down' is part of "The Dusty Diary Sessions", and was released exactly one year to the date of Prine's untimely passing on April 7th.
Tramyard features musicians Steve Milne on piano, Marty McDermott on bass, vocalists Mary Duff and Jordan Mogey, Aoife Cunningham on bouzouki and vocals, Ciara Cunningham on accordion and vocals, guitarist and vocalist Kevin Logue, Stuart Gray on guitar and Des Lacey on drums.
The band was originally intended to be a Monday night gathering of professional musicians who hoped to explore styles outside of their normal remit.

The track is led by young, up-and-coming Irish singers Kevin Logue and Jordan Mogey, who have both brought their own inimitable vocal styles to the forefront.
Among the many tributes paid to John Prine, the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins also released a heartfelt statement to acknowledge the huge impact Ireland and its people had on the late singer, and the wonderful legacy he left behind, stating:
"John Prine was a true master of songcraft. A gifted and evocative lyricist, he was the songwriter other songwriters looked to for inspiration. He was a voice of tolerance, inclusion, whimsy, and protest."
Commenting on the release, producer Steve Milne said:
"Tramyard is made up of a number of well-known Irish musicians. Professionally we are very diverse but we all really love this kind of old Country/Roots/Americana style, so this was an opportunity for us to jam together."
"John Prine of course was a great musician, a great performer, and a great writer, who always had a lot of appreciation for the music scene in Ireland," Milne adds.
"It was a big loss when he passed away last April. 'People Puttin' People Down' was an opportunity for friends to get together and explore some of John's great songwriting gems in our own way. I'm really pleased AGR Television Records have given us the opportunity to share what we came up with, in the memory of John Prine."
