Watch Krea perform an intimate live set on the Hot Press Y&E Series tonight – supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
We are delighted to announce a special performance from singer-songwriter Krea as part of the Hot Press Y&E series tonight!
Presented in conjunction with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the new series will feature an impressive total of 40 exclusive, intimate sets. You can watch Krea's performance tonight, Thursday October 19, at 7pm, streamed live on the Hot Press Instagram.
Initially rising to prominence as one third of Bray-based indie band, Wyvern Lingo, Krea emerged as a remarkable solo act last year with her serene single 'September Sun'. Following the band's hiatus, Krea was awarded the Music Bursary by the Arts Council, as well as a residency at the CCI in Paris. No stranger to the Irish music scene, she has also worked with artists like Denise Chaila and Hozier, having featured on the duet "In A Week" from the latter’s debut album.
A gorgeously dreamy suite of soulful piano, harp, enchanting vocals and lush poetic soundscapes; Krea's follow-up debut EP, The Callows, showcased an experienced artist at the height of their musical powers. Renowned for her intimate songwriting style, ornate melodies, and distinctive storytelling, Krea is sure to have listeners enraptured with tonight's performance. Krea's live Y&E set will also coincide with the premiere of a new music video for title track 'The Callows' — so stay tuned!
