This year they are marking Nollaig na mBan, or Women’s Christmas, with a day-long celebration focusing on women's mental health, featuring discussions, sea swimming and musical performances.
Appearing alongside Irish Women In Harmony will be author Louise Nealon, who will be reading from her UNESCO One City One Book 2024 novel Snowflake.
“I'm really looking forward to Nollaig na mBan,” First Fortnight CEO Maria Fleming told Hot Press.
“Recently there's been a number of studies looking at the provision of services for women experiencing mental ill health in Ireland.
“We want to look at the outcomes of that research as well as the positive initiatives that are happening and how things are improving for women's mental health.”
