Islands
I really thought I liked Heart Waves, the hyper-charged debut album from electro alternative trio Sleep Thieves, but having heard their doom-bringing, groove-led new EP Islands, I must admit to being perfectly content if they vowed never to play those songs again. A Siouxsie-via-Austra helping of brash, confident alt. rock, Islands is a whole lot more disciplined than the band’s previous material, and a whole lot more powerful as a result.
