The gig will take place at The Harbour Bar in Bray, one week before both bands travel to Stradbally for Electric Picnic.
Fast rising Irish bands Scustin and Ispíní Na hEireann are both bringing their "craic inducing, high energy" live shows to Bray for a free gig at The Harbour Bar on August 25th.
Both bands will then pack their bags and travel to Stradbally where they will be performing at Electric Picnic. Scustin will be playing in the beloved Trailer Park area, which features an eclectic lineup of some of the best names on the Irish scene and beyond. The time for Ispíní Na hEireann's set has yet to be announced, though they will be making an appearance in this year's Hot Press Chatroom.

Ispíní Na hEireann is a trad outfit that offers a satirical take on the genre, their "raucous" live shows made up of a combination of original music and covers of classic Irish trad tunes. With music filled with "layers of subtext and commentary," the band has been making waves, covering the Irish festival scene all summer. They recently played the festival All Together Now, and the Bray gig will be their last stand alone show until a special Christmas gig in December at The Academy in Dublin.
Scustin is similarly satirical, though perhaps in a different direction: they describe their sound as "what would happen if Viagra Boys, Blindboy, Mike Skinner and Jamiroquai went for a boozy night out in Bray and wrote an album about it." A sly, funky jazz take on indie rock, they have shot to recognition around the UK and Ireland and are known for their live performances and quirky song titles: including ‘The Ick’, ‘I’m Never Flying With Ryanair Again’ and ‘Drinking Cans In A Field With Matt Damon’.
As both bands are known for memorable live shows, with infectious energy that ensures "all choice is taken away from the audience" as they are "immersed in the absurdity", the night will surely not be one to miss.
