The recently released film, The Lobster, will surpass the €1 million mark in just its second week in cinemas
The film stars Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Olivia Colman.
The movie will feature a number of single people who are challenged with a finding a partner within 45 days. If they fail to complete this task, they will be turned into beasts and exiled into the woods.
Element Pictures Distribution’s Andrew Lowe commented on the film's positive feedback, “We are really pleased with the response of audiences in Ireland and the UK to THE LOBSTER, whose positive word of mouth has helped propel it into an independent hit."
The film will hit French theatres this week, where it is expected to receive positive responses, especially in the wake of winning the Cannes Jury Prize.
